We restrict where new people can build to begin with. Do not worry though you will not remain a guest for long. To start with you can only build on "Guest Island"; a special part of the world where only guests are allowed to build. The next step is to make a nice house and show us what you can make. Once you have completed your house ask a magistrate to review it for you. If they approve of your house they will make sure you are promoted to resident. Once you are a resident you can build anywhere.

You can set your home by typing:
Short answer no. Long answer yes, as long as your modification does not give you an unfair advantage over other players who do not have your mod. Do not attempt to define what an unfair advantage is yourself, ask a moderator or a god what they think before using a mod. Any mod that allows you to fly, move faster, jump higher or see through walls is clearly giving you an unfair advantage over other players. If you are caught using a modified client you will be banned. We have a zero tolorance policy on this. Modifications which are allowed would be things such as minimap mods (as long as they do not reveal the location or ores or anything like that) and chat mods (such as the ability to scroll chat back up). Additionally we have no issue with people using Spout on our server.
If you were temporarily banned it is usually best just to wait for your ban to expire. You can see when it will expire on our banned player list. If you were permanently banned, or you think your temporary ban was in error, you can appeal your ban via our forums. You will need to make an account and then post in the correct forum where your appeal will be reviewed. Bear in mind attempting to join the server with alternative accounts while banned is looked upon very badly and will not do you any favours when you come to appeal your ban.
